Howard Braunstein

Howard Braunstein, a multi EMMY nominee, received his bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies at UCLA and his Master’s Degree from the USC Annenberg School for Communication.

He started his career at the FOX Network, when the fourth network was launched.  After working at the Fox Network for five years in the programming department, he departed to pursue his lifelong career goal of becoming a producer.  He met long-time producer Michael Jaffe, and they formed their own production company, Jaffe/Braunstein Entertainment, LLC.  Together, they produced over 100 television films and six mini-series for the broadcast networks and cable buyers.  Their first feature film together was THE INFORMANT!, starring Matt Damon & released by Warner Bros. Pictures.

Recent projects that Howard has been involved with include the television series THE CLIENT LIST, starring Jennifer Love Hewitt for Lifetime Television; CERTAIN PREY, based on the best-selling series of crime novels by author John Sandford, starring Mark Harmon for USA Network; THE MEMORY KEEPER’S DAUGHTER, a 2008 telefilm for Lifetime Television and an EMMY nominee for outstanding movie-for-television; the multiple EMMY-nominated ELVIS, a CBS Television mini-series event starring Golden Globe winner Jonathan Rhys Meyers in the title role of the legendary King of Rock & Roll; FIRST DO NO HARM starring Meryl Steep for ABC; THE ROSA PARKS STORY, a winner of the NAACP Image Award for outstanding television movie or dramatic special, featuring Angela Bassett in the title role; a remake of RODGERS AND HAMMERSTEIN’S SOUTH PACIFIC starring Glenn Close, and THE BROOKE ELLISON STORY, directed by the late Christopher Reeve.

Howard formed his own television and movie production company – Howard Braunstein Films, Ltd. in May 2011 and  his Canadian company, Howard Braunstein Films Canada, Inc. this year.
