Jeff Woolnough and CBC make a DGC Winning Pair

Director Jeff Woolnough has plenty to celebrate after two of his projects – Keep Your Head Up Kid: The Don Cherry Story and Being Erica – took home major prizes at the annual Directors Guild of Canada (DGC) awards.  Don Cherry picked up wins for Best TV Movie Sound Editing and Best TV Movie overall, while Being Erica garnered a Best Drama Series prize.

Both winning series contributed to a big night for the CBC, which also took home awards for Little Mosque on the Prairie (best comedy series) and Heartland (best family division).  The gala all took place in Toronto on Saturday night.
