Jordan Hawley Sells THE HOLLOWS to CW

RMG is pleased to announce that client JORDAN HAWLEY, with Carol Mendelsohn’s production company, has sold a pilot, THE HOLLOWS, to the CW.  Mendelsohn (executive producer of the CSI Series, creator of CSI: NY, CSI: Miami), Julie Weitz (president of Mendelsohn Productions) and Hawley (writer and producer for Smallville and Wildfire) will executive produce, with Hawley writing as well.

The supernatural drama, based on The Hollows book series by Kim Harrison, centers on a witch who collaborates with local authorities in investigating both ordinary and otherworldly crimes.

Michael Katleman Set to Direct RED SQUAD

RMG is happy to anounce client MICHAEL KATLEMAN has signed on to direct Hannibal Classics’ feature RED SQUAD. Responsible for productions such as Touchback, All Things Fall Apart and Setup, Hannibal’s exciting new action film focuses on an elite mercenary group enlisted by the DEA to take on a drug cartel.

Katleman previously directed the feature film Primeval, and has been at the helm for many television shows such as Justified, Falling Skies and ABC’s upcoming freshman thriller The River.

Karen Janszen Sells Pilot to ABC

We are pleased to announce that our client KAREN JANSZEN has sold a music-driven 1 hour drama pilot to ABC Studios/ABC called SOMEONE LIKE ME along with songwriting powerhouses Stephen Schwartz (Multi-Oscar, Golden Globe, and Grammy Award-winning lyricist/songwriter of Wicked, Godspell, Enchanted) and John Ondrasik (Multi-Platinum, Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter, a/k/a Five for Fighting) and producer Richard B. Lewis (Grammy-winning and Oscar-nominated producer of August Rush, Backdraft, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves).

The show explores the lives of two sisters, one a singer-songwriter legend, the other forever in her shadow, whose worlds collide as adults, sending their family and friends spinning—especially a 17-year-old girl whose own musical talents are exploding.

Karen has enjoyed great success throughout her career in the feature film world, having seven of her screenplays produced – including the recent No.1 box office hit DOLPHIN TALE for Warner Bros. / Alcon.  Other credits include A Walk to Remember, Gracie, and Duma.
